Photo Studio Pro (Full & Free) for Androids

Photo Studio Pro is a robust and feature-rich image editing tool on Android. It lets you add filters, frames, create collages, add stickers, effects and even sketches. It’s a fun little app that is not only powerful, but also easy to use and highly intuitive. If you use and enjoy apps like PicSay Pro, this is an excellent alternative to try.

Features:

Photo Studio Pro packs a lot of features! From adding filters and frames to adjusting color levels, removing red-eye and adding blur. What was most startling about using the app is that the more you look for features, the more you find. You’ve probably used photo editing apps before (I’m mildly addicted to them) but this is one of the most comprehensive I’ve encountered.

From the main dashboard you can either select a photo, a frame or a collage to begin with. Once you select a picture you can try out filters, stickers, frames, effects, add sketches, magic tools (auto levels, sharpen, blur, etc.), color splash, lens boost, rotate, crop, adjust colors and so on… you can almost get lost in the options.

Perhaps my favourite feature is what is called ‘Action Sets’. With so many edits to add, Action sets lets you save specific settings. So, if the filter/effect/frame/hue settings you’ve created really nail it, you can save this as a preset. When you next open a picture, just tap on ‘Action sets’ and select the right option. It’s really easy and highly effective.

There’s nothing more frustrating with a good editing app than when you can only save in miniscule resolution. If you’ve taken larger megapixel images, you don’t want to be reigned in with 2MP edits! Fortunately with Photo Studio Pro you can choose between small, normal, large and maximum sizes, which is very refreshing.

Perhaps the only criticism I have of the app is that the user interface, while simple and intuitive, feels a little dated compared to the smooth Holo-inspired interfaces we are perhaps getting used to. One of my favourite photo apps PicShop Pro does this very well, in addition to offering a number of awesome features. I genuinely think Photo Studio Pro offers more functionality, but the experience of using the app isn’t quite as refined.
